“OutRun”, the arcade driving video game released by Sega in 1986, is being developed by Michael Bay and Sydney Sweeney, as a live-action feature for Universal Pictures:

“The game was designed by Yu Suzuki, who traveled to Europe to gain inspiration for the game's stages.
“The game was a critical and commercial success, ported to numerous video game consoles and home computers, selling millions of copies worldwide, spawning a number of sequels…”
