After small TV roles, Taylor-Joy made her film debut as ‘Thomasin’ in the horror feature ‘The Witch’ (2015). She followed that with a starring role in the horror feature “Split” (2016), its sequel “Glass” (2019) and the black comedy “Thoroughbreds” (2017).
She then appeared in more TV roles including drama miniseries “The Miniaturist” (2017), the fifth and sixth series of “Peaky Blinders” (2019–2022) and “The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance” (2019).
Taylor-Joy also played the lead ‘Emma Woodhouse’ in the Jane Austen adaptation “Emma” (2020) and ‘Beth Harmon’ in the Netflix miniseries “The Queen's Gambit” (2020).
She voiced ‘Princess Peach’ in "The Super Mario Bros. Movie" (2023), co-stars in “The Northman” (2022) and plays the title character in director George Miller’s “Furiosa” (2024).
