“Highlander” - ‘There Can Be Only One’

The new live-action remake of the 1986 fantasy feature “Highlander”, to be directed by Chad Stahelski (“John Wick”), will star Henry Cavill (“The Witcher”), starting January 2025 in Scotland:

“‘Connor MacLeod’, was born in Glenfinnan in the ‘Scottish Highlands’ in the 16th century, MacLeod is one of a number of ‘immortals’ empowered by an energy called the ‘Quickening’.

“Other immortal protagonists from the MacLeod and other clans were introduced over time…

“…including ‘Juan Sánchez-Villalobos Ramírez’ (Sean Connery),, an Egyptian immortal, ‘Duncan MacLeod’, ‘Quentin MacLeod’, ‘Colin MacLeod’ and ‘Julie MacLeod’, each of whom exists in their own timelines…”
