Spielberg Shooting “Bullitt”

Steven Spielberg (“Duel”) will direct a fresh take on “Bullitt”, based on characters from the 1963 novel “Mute Witness” by Robert L. Fish, (aka ‘Robert L. Pike’), starring Bradley Cooper as San Francisco police detective ‘Frank Bullitt’:

“…director Peter Yates’ 1968 feature ‘Bullit’, starring Steve McQueen 

was selected for preservation…

“…in the United States National Film Registry by the Library of Congress for being ‘culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant’…”
