Dakota Johnson Covers "Vanity Fair"

Actress Dakota Johnson ("Madame Web") poses for the August 2022 issue of "Vanity Fair" magazine photographed by Ryan McGinley:

"I do not like stupid rules", said Johnson. "Like rules for rules' sake. Or people implementing rules because they're seeking power.

"To go out into the world, do hair and make-up and wear an outfit to look a certain way, it's super jarring. So to wear clothes in which I feel like myself is vital. I feel like OK this is a version of me.

"I don't know if you've ever had this where you meet another woman and see parts of yourself in them...

"...that you didn't know you had before you'd met. It's almost like they turn up the dial on your life.

"For so long, I've acted in movies and, when it comes out, sometimes it's completely different.

"And that's really hard to grapple with as a person who is vulnerable for a living..."

Johnson will play “Madame Web” in a new Sony Pictures feature, based on the clairvoyant and precognitive Marvel Comics character appearing in “Spider-Man” comic books.

‘Cassandra Webb’, born in Salem, Oregon is a telepathic, clairvoyant and precognitive mutant, who works as a professional medium.
