"Three Thousand Years of Longing", directed by Oscar winner George Miller ("Mad Max: Fury Road") is the new 'epic fantasy' romance feature, adapting the short story "The Djinn in the Nightingale's Eye" by A. S. Byatt, starring Idris Elba as a pointy-eared 'genie', premiering at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival before a wide theatrical release:
