The upcoming live-action comedy feature "Wonder Twins", directed by Adam Sztykiel, stars KJ Apa and Isabel May as a pair of alien shape-shifting characters, that first appeared in the animated series "The All-New Super Friends Hour" (1977):
KJ Apa ("Riverdale") plays 'Zan' and Isabel May ("1883") is 'Jayna, who generate their powers by touching hands with the spoken phrase "Wonder Twin powers, activate!".
Following their debut in 1977, the characters would appear in cartoon series "Super Friends', "The World’s Greatest Super Friends", "Super Friends: The Legendary Super Powers Show" and a live-action appearance on "Smallville", with 'Jayna' usually transformed into animals, while 'Zan' could change into water at any state, including solid, liquid, or gas.
