Marvel Studios continues casting for their next live-action TV series "Echo", spinning off from the upcoming "Hawkeye" series, following deaf, super-powered native American 'Maya Lopez' (Alaqua Cox), co-starring Marvel Comics blind crime-fighter 'Daredevil':
"...with a white hand-print across her face, 'Maya Lopez is an Olympic-level athlete possessing 'photographic reflexes', defined as the uncanny ability to perfectly copy other people's movements. Just by watching other people, she has become a concert-level pianist, a martial artist, a highly skilled acrobat and gifted ballerina.
"She also gained the acrobatic abilities of 'Daredevil' and the uncanny aim of 'Bullseye'. But her deafness is a drawback as she relies on visual cues that render her helpless in the dark, and her ability to communicate by reading lips prevents her from taking commands and communicating with people who are wearing masks or are not in direct visual contact.
"As the superhero 'Thunderbird', Maya also gains the abilities offered to her as a host of the 'Phoenix Force', which includes telepathy, flight, superhuman strength and the ability to generate flames of cosmic energy..."
