Spielberg's "Halo" on Paramount Plus

"Halo", the live action outer space TV series executive produced by Steven Spielberg, adapting the military science fiction first-person shooter video game franchise, created by Bungie and developed by 343 Industries, a subsidiary of Microsoft Studios for publisher Xbox Game Studios, will now stream on 'Paramount Plus' in 2022:

The "Halo" video game series is set during an interstellar war between Earth's humanity and the 'Covenant' theocratic alliance of other-worldly aliens.

The Covenant, led by the 'Prophets', worship ancient civilization  the 'Forerunners', who perished in combat during the parasitic 'Flood'.

'Master Chief John-117' is one of a group of Earth's super-soldiers code-named 'Spartans'.

His artifical intelligence companion is 'Cortana'.

The term "Halo" refers to the 'Halo' rings: large, habitable super-weapons that were created to destroy the parasitic Flood.

Previously, the live-action mini web series "Halo: Forward Unto Dawn" (2012) consisted of five 15-minute episodes released weekly.
