World of 'Bizarros'

In a country where a new government’s policy is deliberately the opposite of common sense, welcome  to the world of DC Comics' 'Bizarro', embodied by 'mirror image' characters, the opposite of normal, appearing in comic books, live-action TV series, trading cards, toys and video games:

" 'Bizarro', we strive for that mirror-image, that opposite. And out of a machine which would reveal the negative...

"...came the mirror image – always remembering that in a mirror everything is reversed.

"What was demanded was the full dimensional personality – a figure that carried a shadow...

"...inspired to some degree by C. G. Jung's archetype of  'the shadow'.

"Jung's 'shadow' exists as part of the unconscious mind and is composed of repressed ideas, weaknesses, desires, instincts and shortcomings.
