Ashman collaborated with Alan Menken on animated features for Disney, including "The Little Mermaid" (1989)...
..."Beauty and the Beast" (1991) and Aladdin (1992).
Ashman also directed, his own book and lyrics for the musical "Little Shop of Horrors (1982) leading to a feature film.
