"Star Wars: Squadrons", the new action video game directed by Ian Frazier and developed by Motive Studios for publisher Electronic Arts, is available October 2, 2020, set after "Return of the Jedi" as pilots of the 'New Republic' battle the remnants of the 'Galactic Empire':
"...after the 'Battle of Endor' and the destruction of the second 'Death Star', the story alternates between two pilots who are flying for the 'New Republic Vanguard Squadron' and the 'Empire Titan Squadron'..."
The multiplayer supports up to 10 players, pitting two groups of pilots against each other. As players earn more experience, they can unlock new weapons, shields, upgrades and various cosmetic items for the pilot and their ship.
