Further to the hashtag #ReleaseTheSnyderCut, director Zack Snyder's "Justice League", a 2-hour plus alternate edit of Warners "Justice League" (2017), reportedly includes an expansion of the visceral 'Knightmare Batman' sequence introduced in Snyder's "Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice":
"The truth is," said Snyder, "the 'Knightmare' sequence was always my idea...that all of that would eventually be explained and that would end up in the distant future...
"...where 'Darkseid' has taken over Earth and where 'Superman' has succumbed to the 'Anti-Life'.
"There were a few members of the 'Justice League' that had survived in that world..."
