Cable network HBO, has confirmed an order for 10 episodes of the "Game of Thrones" live-action prequel "House of The Dragon", starting with a new TV pilot, based on author George R. R. Martin's 2018 book "Fire & Blood", illustrated by Doug Wheatley, set 300 years before the events of "Game of Thrones", depicting stories of the 'Targaryen' kings, rulers of 'Westeros':
"...in 'The Targaryen Conquest', 'Aegon I Targaryen' conquers the 'Seven Kingdoms of Westeros', followed by 'The Peace of the Dragon', depicting Aegon I's reign after his Conquest.
"In 'The Sons of the Dragon', the focus is on the lives of Aegon I's sons, 'King Aenys I Targaryen' and 'King Maegor I Targaryen', ending with Maegor's death and the ascension of Aenys's son 'Jaehaerys I Targaryen' to the throne.
"'Heirs of the Dragon' the follows the reign of 'Jaehaerys I Targaryen' and the succession crisis following the deaths of his sons.
"'The Dying of the Dragons', focuses on the civil war known as the 'Dance of the Dragons', followed by 'Aftermath — The Boy King and His Regents', covering the first few years of the reign of Rhaenyra's young son 'Aegon III', the son of 'Rhaenyra'..."
