"Stan Lee" On ABC



The late writer Stan Lee, editor-in-chief of Marvel Comics and later its publisher and chairman, who lead Marvel's expansion from a small division of a publishing house to a large multimedia, billion dollar corporation, is honored in a new prime-time TV special, celebrating Lee's comic book creations, including "Spider-Man", "The X-Men", "Black Panther and "Iron Man", airing December 20, 2019 on ABC:


The special, filmed in front of a live audience at New York's New Amsterdam Theater, is hosted by actor Clark Gregg, along with other 'Marvel Cinematic Universe' actors including Tom Hiddleston, Paul Bettany, Cobie Smulders, Ming-Na Wen, Deborah Ann Woll and Lauren Ridloff, plus Kevin Smith, Joe Quesada, Seth Green, Bob Iger, CB Cebulski, Todd McFarlane, Kevin Feige and Gerry Conway.


"As a young man, Stan 'The Man' Lee always dreamed of writing, going on to create some of the greatest heroes of our modern times", said Joe Quesada, Executive Vice President, Creative Director of Marvel Entertainment.
