Netflix and producer Eric Heisserer are currently prepping in Budapest to shoot the live-action "Shadow and Bone" fantasy TV series, based on the book series "The Grisha Trilogy", containing the novels "Shadow and Bone" and the "Six of Crows Duology" by author Leigh Bardugo:
"...in a world cleaved in two by a massive barrier of perpetual darkness, where unnatural creatures feast on humans, young soldier 'Alina Starkov' (Jessie Mei Li) uncovers a power that might finally unite her country. Cast also includes Ben Barnes as 'General Kirigan'/'The Darkling', Freddy Carter as 'Kaz Brekker', Archie Renaux as 'Mal Oretsev', Amita Suman as 'Inej Ghafa', Kit Young as 'Jesper Fahey', Sujaya Dasgupta as 'Zoya Nazyalensky', Danielle Galligan as 'Nina Zenik', Daisy Head as 'Genya Safin' and Simon Sears as 'Ivan'.
