The Image Comics' horror series "Injection" by writer Warren Ellis, has been optioned for adaptation as a TV series from Universal Cable Productions:

"...five specialists are tasked by the Brit government to predict 'the future of humanity'.

"But the team accidentally creates a malevolent 'artificial intelligence' through technology and shamanistic magic that ultimately seeks to eradicate the human race..."

Ellis is also working with "The Walking Dead" producer Gale Anne Hurd to develop an adaptation of the 1970's Mexican comic book series "El Pantera", as well as his comics series "Trees" optioned by NBC-Universal for actor Tom Hardy.
