Amazon/MGM Studios has acquired the developing “Highlander” live-action rebooot, to be directed by Chad Stahelski, starring genre actor Henry Cavill (“The Witcher”) and Russell Crowe, to be produced by Scott Stuber and Nick Nesbitt, starting principal photography, September 15, 2025 in the UK:

“‘Connor MacLeod’, was born in Glenfinnan in the ‘Scottish Highlands’ in the 16th century…

“Other immortal protagonists from the MacLeod and other clans were introduced over time…
