Producer James Cameron, creator of the "Terminator" franchise has taken control of his property and will produce "Terminator 6" with "Deadpool" director Tim Miller at the helm, reinvigorating characters by returning to their 'roots', with the return of actress Linda Hamilton as 'Sarah Connor', plus the origin of the killer robot and how it came to look like Arnold Schwarzenegger:
"...rather than playing the indestructible killing machine of the title, Arnold will play the human character, the 'Terminators' are modeled after..."
Cameron will also re-release his classic 1991 feature "Terminator 2: Judgement Day", August 25, 2017 in a fresh, re-mastered 3D conversion, incorporating 'StereoD', a visual technology used in "Star Wars: The Force Awakens":
