Alicia Vikander: "The Light Between Oceans"

Vikander trained as a ballet dancer at the 'Royal Swedish Ballet School' in Stockholm and the 'School of American Ballet' in New York. She appeared in Swedish short films and TV series, gaining recognition in Northern Europe for her role as 'Josefin Bj√∂rn-Tegebrandt' in the TV drama series "Andra Avenyn" (2008–10).


Vikander made her feature film debut in "Pure" (2010), played 'Princess Kitty' in "Anna Karenina" and 'Queen Caroline Mathilde' in the Danish feature "A Royal Affair", earning a 'BAFTA Rising Star Award' nomination. She then starred in the Swedish drama "Hotell" (2013) and appeared in "The Fifth Estate" (2013).


In 2014 and 2015, Vikander achieved global recognition and acclaim for her roles as 'Vera Brittain' in "Testament of Youth", a humanoid robot in "Ex Machina" and painter 'Gerda Wegener' in "The Danish Girl", winning an 'Academy Award' and 'Screen Actors Guild Award' for 'Best Supporting Actress'.


In 2016, she appeared in "Jason Bourne" and "The Light Between Oceans".
