BBC Worldwide North America and Fathom Events will present the newest "Doctor Who Christmas Special", titled "The Return of Doctor Mysterio", screening theatrically December 27 and December 29, 2016:
"...join the 'Doctor' (Capaldi), as he teams with an investigative journalist (Charity Wakefield) and a superhero to save New York from a deadly alien threat, starring Justin Chatwin, Matt Lucas, Adetomiwa Edun, Aleksandar Jovanovic and Logan Hoffman..."
The event will include the 60-minute special plus bonus content including "A New Kind of Superhero", with appearances by actors Peter Capaldi, Matt Lucas and executive producer Steven Moffat.
"The Return of Doctor Mysterio" is executive produced by Brian Minchin, produced by Peter Bennett, and directed by Ed Bazalgette ("Poldark"), lensed in Cardiff @ BBC Wales Roath Lock Studios.
