Ward's first film starring role was in Australian director Elissa Down's feature "The Black Balloon" (2008).
This was followed by work in the suspense thriller "The Strangers" (2008).
In 2011 she played 'Tamara' the 'mermaid' in "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides".
Ward plays the 'Languid Girl' in "The Great Gatsby".
