Take another look @ story spoilers from "Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice", the sequel to director Zack Snyder's previous DC Comics' adaptation, "Man Of Steel", that unleashed a powerful, alien 'Superman' on the world:
"...'Batman v Superman' opens with the young 'Bruce Wayne/'Batman' origin, then fast forwards to Wayne as an adult coming to 'Metropolis' during the 'Superman'/'Zod' fight.
"Fast forward again some years after the events of 'Man of Steel' and Superman is now a well-loved icon. 'Clark Kent' and 'Lois Lane' live together...
"...with Clark still working as a reporter at the 'Daily Planet', tasked with covering a 'Metropolis'/'Gotham' football game when he would rather be writing about 'Batman'.
"On assignment in the Middle East, Superman shows up to help out Lois...
"...causing an international incident, with some countries refusing air-space to the flying superhero.
"Towards the end of the film, when the fight with villain 'Doomsday' starts 'General Swanwick' now a supporter of Supes tells the military Superman will move the battle away from populated areas 'because he's a hero, and that's what heroes do'..."
