Sonar Entertainment confirmed it will adapt author Stephen King's suspense thriller "Mr. Mercedes" for television:
"...'Mr. Mercedes' follows retired policeman 'Bill Hodges', who makes it his life's mission to find a killer named Mr. Mercedes who drove his car into a crowd of innocents years ago..."
David E. Kelly will write the TV adaptation to be directed by Jack Bender.
"This is an amazing opportunity," said Kelley, "to adapt a script from material penned by one of the world's most acclaimed and accomplished authors. 'Mr. Mercedes' is a great story that will translate beautifully to the screen if I don't mess it up..."
