According to reports, producer Greg Berlanti ("Arrow") will develop a new dramatic TV series for Fox, based on the comic book town of "Riverdale", the home of Archie Comics' characters 'Archie', 'Betty', 'Veronica', 'Jughead', Reggie', plus 'Josie and the Pussycats' :

"...the darkness and weirdness bubbling beneath the wholesome façade of 'Riverdale', showcasing the eternal love triangle...
