"Avengers: Age Of Ultron": Behold The 'Vision'

Take another look @ the 'Vision', a 'synthezoid' creation of the robot 'Ultron', as seen in a new promotional poster, behind-the-scenes image and statue, supporting director Joss Whedon's Marvel Studios' "Avengers" sequel, "Avengers: Age Of Ultron":

The 'Vision' character was created by writer Roy Thomas and illustrator John Buscema...

...debuting in Marvel Comics' "The Avengers" #57 (Oct. 1968).

"...according to the original story, the robot 'Ultron' is the creator of the 'Vision'...

"...a type of android he calls a 'synthezoid'...

"...for use against Ultron's own creator, 'Dr. Henry Pym' aka 'Ant-Man'.

"Temporarily controlled by Ultron, the Vision rebuilds Ultron of indestructible 'adamantium' and battles the Avengers before regaining his self-control.

"The Vision also hooks up with 'Wanda Maximoff', aka mutant 'Scarlet Witch', with whom he later becomes romantically (?!) involved.

"The 'Solar Jewel' on the Vision's forehead absorbs ambient solar energy providing power to function...

"...also capable of discharging as optic beams, infrared and microwave radiation.

"The Vision also possesses the ability to manipulate his density, which at its lowest allows flight and a ghostly, phasing intangibility, and at its heaviest provides superhuman strength, immovability, and a diamond-hard near invulnerability..."
