"Captain America: The Winter Soldier" - More 'Black Widow' Footage

Sneak Peek an extended scene included on the upcoming Blu-ray release of "Captain America: The Winter Soldier", available September 9, 2014, showcasing actress Scarlett Johansson as 'Black Widow':

Johansson first signed on to play Marvel Comics' Russian spy 'Natasha Romanoff' aka the 'Black Widow' in the feature "Iron Man 2" (2009) as an undercover spy for 'S.H.I.E.L.D.' posing as an assistant to 'Tony Stark' (Robert Downey Jr.) aka 'Iron Man'.

She was cast only after a scheduling conflict forced actress Emily Blunt to drop out of the part.

Johansson then reprised the role in director Joss Whedon's "The Avengers" (2012) confirming that Marvel was "really behind" the character.

Johansson again portrayed the Black Widow in the 2014 feature "Captain America: The Winter Soldier".

And in the Marvel Studios' sequel "Avengers: Age Of Ultron", Johansson plays the character on film for an unprecedented fourth time. The new film is written and directed by Whedon, who is admittedly smitten by the actress, saying that he finds her character "so interesting".

"She was the most fun for me because she's not a hero," said Whedon.

"And that just makes her so interesting to me. So yeah, the stuff I've got going on with her in the second one is killer."

The Black Widow and 'Captain America' relationship become "a more intimate friendship" in "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" as their similarities began to emerge. But it doesn't end there.

"We've already started discussions with Scarlett about the idea of a solo movie," confirmed Marvel Studios' head honcho Kevin Feige, "and have begun putting together concepts..."
