According to a recent survey by Ladbrokes Casino, both sexes were asked to share their opinion on what puts the 'man' in manliness, with some clear distinctions established in the category of 'male movie etiquette':
"...if you have been known to start bawling your eyes out when Simba’s dad bites the bullet in 'The Lion King', then 34% of male respondents would consider you a touch wet, shedding you of a mammoth 5 'lad points'.
"A definitive list of films that would be acceptable for the modern alpha male to show off their feminine side was established however, with some surprisingly 'girly' results.
"Jennifer Aniston’s canine cry-fest, 'Marley and Me' was given big paws up, as were old school classics 'Bambi' and 'Lassie'.
"Elsewhere on the list was the big-headed alien with the heart to match, 'E.T'...
"...as well as chick-flick slumber party favorites, 'The Notebook' and 'Titanic' – who’d have thought it?!
