What If ... Robert Redford Was The 'Red Skull' ?

What If...the rumors were true that actor Robert Redford, who plays 'S.H.I.E.L.D.' senior leader 'Alexander Pierce' in Marvel Studios' upcoming sequel "Captain America: The Winter Soldier', is not a 'good guy', but an infiltrated spy for terror organization 'Hydra' and the super-villain 'Red Skull' in disguise ?

"I like the idea of playing a villain," said Redford about his role in the new film.

Created by Joe Simon, Jack Kirby and France Herron, the 'Red Skull' debuted in "Captain America Comics" #1 (March 1941).

He was portrayed by actor Hugo Weaving in "Captain America: The First Avenger" (2011).

In that film, the character 'Johann Schmidt' is commander of the Third Reich Research Division 'HYDRA', his skeletal appearance resulting from application of a still-unfinished earlier version of the 'super soldier' treatment that later creates 'Captain America'.

The treatment also augmented his strength according to serum inventor 'Abraham Erskine'.
