"The Avengers: Age Of Ultron" Updates

Marvel Studios have now received approval to film "The Avengers" sequel, "The Avengers: Age Of Ultron", in Cape Town, South Africa, leading to speculation that a popular Marvel Comics' superhero will be introduced:

"The Avengers: Age of Ultron" starts filming March 2014 in the UK, but have hired South Africa-based background performer "extras" casting coordinator, J.P. van der Merwe for a shoot in Cape Town.

"...a lot of the sequel has to do with (The Avengers) place, not only in America, but in the world...", said the new film's writer/director Joss Whedon.

Filming in South Africa will also afford the Avengers an opportunity to seek out 'T'Challa' aka the 'Black Panther', whose homeland 'Wakanda' is the African nation whose main export is 'vibranium', a metal alloy that makes up the shield of 'Captain America', as well as sought by the villain 'Ultron' throughout various Marvel Comics.

Created by writer-editor Stan Lee and illustrator-co-plotter Jack Kirby for Marvel Comics, 'Black Panther' debuted in "Fantastic Four" #52 (July 1966), as the first black superhero in mainstream comics.

As king of Wakanda, the Panther has access to a vast collection of magical artifacts, advanced Wakandan technological and military hardware, as well as the support of his nation's wide array of scientists, warriors, and mystics.

He is also a skilled hunter, tracker, strategist, politician, inventor and scientist, with a Ph.D. in Physics from Oxford University.
