In Showtime's Emmy award-winning "Homeland", Danes plays Mathison as having a 'bipolar disorder', with Damian Lewis ("Band Of Brothers") playing 'Nicholas Brody', a 'US Marine Corps Scout Sniper'.
Mathison believes that Brody, who was held captive as a prisoner of war, was 'turned' by the enemy and now threatens the US.
