Crom: "The Legend Of Conan"

According to reports, Universal Pictures has signed a deal with "World Trade Center" writer Andrea Berloff to write the script for "The Legend Of Conan", the first film in a new trilogy, starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, who first played the 'Cimmerian' barbarian in 1982, followed by "Conan The Destroyer" in 1984.

Producer Fredrik Malmberg previously said the new film would "pick up 'Conan' where Arnold is now in his life. We will be able to use the fact that he has aged in this story. I love the property of Conan so much that I wouldn't touch it unless we came up with something worthy. We think this is a worthy successor to the original film. Think of this as Conan's 'Unforgiven'."

"The idea is that this takes place after Conan has been king. But this is the legend of Conan where he has been gone and people say, ‘Do you remember the good ol’ days when Conan was around?’ And now it’s time for him to come back..."
