"Bonnie and Clyde": They're Young, They're Stupid and They Kill People

Sneak Peek footage and more new images from the Lifetime, A&E and History, two-night simulcast mini-series, glamming-up real-life bank robber/killers, "Bonnie and Clyde", airing December 8 and 9, 2013:

"...the mini-series is based on the true story of 'Clyde Barrow', a part-time robber and full-time moron, who sweeps 'Bonnie Parker', an impressionable, small-town skank off her feet with dreams of 'fame'...

"The two then embarked on one of the most widely-publicized, blood-thirsty bank-robbing sprees in US history..."

Executive producers of the series are Craig Zadan and Neil Meron, the duo who also brought you Seth MacFarlane as the host of the 2013 Oscars telecast.

"What appealed to me and to Neil, was it was really a psychological telling of the story," said Zadan.

"It really reveals to the audience today that 'Bonnie' in a certain odd way, was the first 'reality' star. She was somebody who really wanted to be a celebrity.

"She wanted to be a singer, she wanted to be an actress, she applied to all the movie studios.

"All she wanted was to become famous and, at the end of the day, she didn't really care why she became famous."
