Studio Rebooting "Timecop"

According to reports, Universal will develop a remake of the 1994 feature "Timecop", based on the Dark Horse Comics series.

The original "Timecop" story focuses on 'Walker', who catches an illegal time traveler robbing a South African mine in the 1930's.

The original movie adaptation followed a 'time enforcement' officer who attempts to bring a rogue politician to justice, using time travel to fund his presidential campaign. During the course of the film the officer discovers that the politician is also responsible for the earlier death of his wife, and numerous other previously unconnected crimes.
