Director Guillermo del Toro, promoting his Toronto-lensed 'mecha' robot feature "Pacific Rim" for Warner Bros., has revealed his next film for the studio, adapting DC Comics superheroes for "Dark Universe", aka "Justice League Dark".
"Dark Universe" will showcase a team up of comic book characters including 'Swamp Thing', 'Etrigan the Demon', 'Deadman' and 'John Constantine'.
Del Toro confirmed he has completed the 'story bible' for the project featuring Constantine as the lead character who will recruit the other characters to fight a supernatural world threat, that will incorporate story elements from DC Comics' "Demon Knights".
Swamp Thing will finally be at peace with his existence as a filthy creature that was once a man and Deadman, the former murdered circus performer, now a ghostly apparition that can enter bodies at will, will continue his search for his killer, 'The Hook'.
