Ben Affleck Joining "Justice League" ?

Actor Ben Affleck ("Daredevil"), who directed "The Town" for Warners, is reportedly the studio's first choice to direct the developing "Justice League" live-action feature that reboots the 'Batman' character as a founding member of the team.

Screenplay is by Will Beall ("Gangster Squad").

Affleck is also interested in a superhero role in the film.

Also known as the 'JLA', the superhero team-up debuted in DC Comics' "The Brave and the Bold" #28 (Feb/March 1960), predating Marvel's "The Avengers".

The original superhero lineup  included 'Superman', 'Batman', 'Wonder Woman', 'Flash' ('Barry Allen'), 'Green Lantern' ('Hal Jordan'), 'Aquaman' and the 'Martian Manhunter'.

The roster has been rotated throughout the years to include 'Green Arrow', 'Captain Marvel', 'Black Canary', the 'Atom', 'Hawkman', 'Hawkgirl', 'Plastic Man', 'Red Tornado', 'Firestorm' and 'Zatanna'.
