
According to reports, Warner Bros. is fast-tracking development of a 'serious' "Justice League" live-action feature film, based on the DC Comics characters, with Will Beall ("Gangster Squad"), attached to provide a screenplay.
Also known as the 'JLA', the superhero team first appeared in DC Comics' "The Brave and the Bold" #28, February/March 1960, predating Marvel's "The Avengers", with the line-up of 'Superman', 'Batman', 'Wonder Woman', 'Flash' ('Barry Allen'), 'Green Lantern' ('Hal Jordan'), 'Aquaman' and the 'Martian Manhunter'.
The roster has been rotated throughout the years including 'Green Arrow', 'Captain Marvel', 'Black Canary', the 'Atom', 'Hawkman', 'Hawkgirl', 'Plastic Man', 'Red Tornado', 'Firestorm' and 'Zatanna'.
