Actress Mary McCormack stars as 'Mary Shannon', a US Marshal working the 'secretive branch' of the government's witness protection program (WITSEC), whose job is to relocate 'Federal Witnesses', most of whom fall into three categories: career criminals, whistle-blowers or innocents who had the misfortune of witnessing a crime :
