Actors Michael Sheen and Lizzy Caplan have been cast as the leads in the upcoming Showtime drama pilot "Masters Of Sex", portraying 1960's human sexuality pioneers William Masters and Virginia Johnson.
The TV pilot adapts the book "Masters of Sex: The Life and Times of William Masters and Virginia Johnson, The Couple Who Taught America How To Love", by author Thomas Maier.
To be directed by Oscar nominee John Madden ("Shakespeare in Love"), the pilot will start in New York, March 2012. Michelle Ashford ("The Pacific"), Judith Verno, and Sarah Timberman and Carl Beverly ("Justified") will executive produce. Sheen and Tammy Rosen will also serve as producers :
