Sneak Peek Dark Horse Comics' contribution to Valentine's Day in a series of cards, using comic book covers.

Dark Horse Comics, established in 1986 is noted as the largest independent comic book/manga publisher in the US, started by founder Mike Richardson in Milwaukie, Oregon, to establish a creative environment for comic book writers and illustrators.

Richardson started out by opening his first comic book store, "Pegasus Books", in Bend, Oregon, in 1980.

From there he was able to use the funds from his retail operation to start his own publishing company.

Films produced adapting Dark Horse Comics include "The Mask", "Timecop", "Barb Wire", "Mystery Men", "Virus", "Alien vs. Predator", "Hellboy", "Sin City", "Son of the Mask", "Hellboy: Sword of Storms", "300", "Hellboy: Blood and Iron", "Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem", "Hellboy II: The Golden Army", "El Zombo Fantasma" and the upcoming "R.I.P.D." and "Beasts Of Burden" in 2013.
