Shape Up With The "Pussycat Dolls Dancer’s Body Workout"

Anchor Bay's "Pussycat Dolls Dancer's Body Workout", available now on DVD, is choreographed by "Pussycat Dolls" pop girl group/dance ensemble creator Robin Antin.

The DVD demonstrates "...how to not only get the body of a dancer but the mind-set, confidence and style of a 'Pussycat Doll'.

"'Dancer's Body Workout' is more signature to what the 'Pussycat Dolls' do," said Antin. "We pushed the envelope this time, creating a sexier workout that really connects women to their inner 'Doll'. I see it everyday. Dancers have that sleek, curvy shape from the way they move, no other workout gives you this type of sexy body shaping."

Songs include The Pussycat Dolls' "When I Grow Up" and "Wait A Minute".

But when its control implants are damaged during a training experiment off the Mexican coast, the beast escapes to Puerto Vallarta.

"With the ocean terror now out of control and seemingly invincible, a ragtag group – comprised of a hotshot mercenary, an investigative reporter, and Sand’s biomechanical engineer daughter – have come together to stop the unholy beast.

"But it won’t be easy: it possesses problem-solving intelligence, attacks without mercy or warning – it even has the ability to walk on land..."

"Tanner Hall": Lose Your Way. Find Yourself.

"Tanner Hall", the 2009 indie drama from Anchor Bay Films, is now available on Blu-ray and DVD, following four teen girls 'coming-of-age' in a boarding school, written and directed by Tatiana von Fürstenberg and Francesca Gregorini. The film was developed by von Fürstenberg and Gregorini while they attended Brown University, after both women realized they had both attended boarding schools as children.

Cast includes Brie Larson, Amy Ferguson, Rooney Mara ("The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo"), Georgia King, Tom Everett Scott, Amy Sedaris, Chris Kattan, and Shawn Pyfrom :

"...it is fall, and 'Fernanda' (Mara) returns to her beloved 'Tanner Hall' to begin the new school year. She is yearning to see her old friends 'Kate' (Larson) and 'Lucasta' (Ferguson). Although clearly girls of privilege, they exhibit none of the stereotypical behaviors assumed of children of their class. They are at once worldly and innocent, hovering on the razor's edge between adolescence and adulthood.

"But there's a new girl: 'Victoria' (King), who is clearly one angry, emotionally dishevelled young woman. Victoria wants scalps on her belt, and within hours of her arrival, she has set the trio of friends against each other without their fully understanding why or how. That's just the first day.

"Victoria instinctively understands that Fernanda is her prize because she is practical, clear-eyed and not easily fooled. But while Victoria focuses on manipulating her, Fernanda's attentions are elsewhere, mostly on her developing affections for 'Gio' (Scott), the husband of one of her mother's friends.

"Vulnerable to the stirrings of what she thinks is real love, Fernanda allows his pursuit of her to get tangled up in the teenaged machinations around her, and the outcome is a much-too-rapid vault into adulthood for each girl....".

"Team America": When Freedom Hung By A Thread

Making news again is the puppet feature "Team America: World Police", the 2004 action comedy, written by "South Park" creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone, with Pam Brady.

The satire of big-budget action films and their associated clichés, was directed by Parker, using marionette puppets reminiscent of Gerry Anderson's "Thunderbirds" 'supermarionation' process.

Particular emphasis was given to the global implications of US politics with North Korea, as 'Team America' , a fictional team of political paramilitary policemen known as the 'World Police', attempt to save the world from a violent terrorist plot led by Kim Jong-il.

Released in 2004, "Team America" grossed over $51 million worldwide, with the DVD released in both R-rated and Unrated versions.

Before the film's release, the filmmakers fought with the Motion Picture Association of America, who returned the film over nine times with an NC-17 rating, mainly because of a graphic 'puppet-sex' scene, until the film was recut by a few seconds and rated R.
