Sneak Peek actor Tom Hardy as the DC Comics villain 'Bane', from Warners' currently shooting IMAX "Batman" feature "The Dark Knight Rises", directed by Christopher Nolan.
The 'Bane' character debuted in DC Comics' "Batman: Vengeance of Bane" #1 (January 1993), created by Chuck Dixon, Doug Moench, and Graham Nolan, as a highly intelligent villain with a photographic memory, a master of several scientific disciplines and fluent in Spanish, English, Urdu, Persian, and Latin.
Although extremely dangerous at all times, Bane is perfectly sane and in control of his mind and actions.
Bane is highly devious and a superb strategist/tactician, inventing his own form of calisthenics, meditation and unique fighting style. His usage of a special 'venom' enhances his physical strength and healing process to superhuman levels.
