"Victoria's Secret Fashion Show" - November 29, 2011

The annual "Victoria's Secret Fashion Show" was taped @ New York City's Lexington Avenue Armory, November 9, 2011, for airing on CBS, November 29.

Sponsored by the Victoria's Secret brand of women's lingerie and sleepwear, the show is used to promote and market the company's goods in a high-profile setting.

Models featured include current 'Victoria's Secret Angels' Adriana Lima, Alessandra Ambrosio, Doutzen Kroes, Candice Swanepoel and Erin Heatherton,.

The lavish event incorporates elaborate costumed lingerie, varying music by leading entertainers and unique set designs according to the different themes running within the show.

The giant angel wings worn by the models, as well as other wings of various forms and sizes such as butterfly and peacock wings, have become emblematic of the Victoria's Secret brand.

"The Simpsons: The Book Job" - November 20, 2011

"The Simpsons" episode The Book Job," will air over Fox and Global (in Canada), Sunday, November 20, 2011, starring fantasy writer Neil Gaiman :

"...'Lisa' becomes disheartened when she learns the shocking truth behind the 'tween lit' industry and her beloved fantasy novel characters. But 'Homer' decides to cash in on the craze and forms a team to group-write the next 'tween lit' hit, with the king of fantasy, 'Neil Gaiman' (guest-voicing as himself), lending his expertise to the effort. After catching the eye of a slick industry publisher (guest-voice Andy Garcia) at the 'Springfield Book Fair', the team gets an advanced copy of their work and discovers that the corporate lit business is a bigger operation than they imagined..."

Warners Building "LEGO" Relationship

Warner Bros. and Australian producers Animal Logic ("Happy Feet") will develop a live action/animated feature, based on "LEGO" building blocks.

With tax credits from the Australian government and New South Wales, the 'action adventure' will be set in "a world of 'LEGOS'", produced entirely in Australia, with "Robot Chicken" stop-motion director Chris McKay co-directing.

LEGO and Warner Bros. previously produced LEGO toys and videogames based on Warner Bros. properties "Batman" and "Harry Potter".

LEGO will now have complete access to all of DC Entertainment's comic book characters and stories to launch DC Universe figures and playsets beginning January 2012, which will include 'Batman', 'Superman', 'Wonder Woman' and a whole lot more...

$400 Million Haul For "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3"

According to BigGameHunter, Activision Publishing's first-person shooter video game "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3", released in North America and the UK November 8, 2011, has set an all-time record for the biggest entertainment launch with more than $400 million in sales.

"Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, the third installment in Activision's "Modern Warfare" video game series is the eighth "Call of Duty" installment in total, set in America, England, France and Germany, as the entire world is plunged into war.

This marks the third consecutive year that the "Call of Duty" franchise has set day one launch records across all forms of entertainment, something no other entertainment franchise in any medium has ever accomplished :

"...former 'Task Force 141 Captain John "Soap" MacTavish' (voiced by Kevin McKidd), former 'SAS Captain John Price' (Billy Murray) and Russian informant 'Nikolai' are on the run after killing rogue 'US Army Lt General Shepherd'..."

"Underworld Awakening": Vengeance Returns

Thanks to VancouverFilm.Net, Sneak Peek the new poster supporting the Screen Gems, Sony Pictures Entertainment release "Underworld Awakening".

The Vancouver-lensed fourth installment in the supernatural-action franchise is produced by Lakeshore Entertainment and director Len Wiseman.

The newest chapter in the "Underworld" vampires vs werewolves saga marks the return of actress Kate Beckinsale in the title role as the vampiric heroine 'Selene'.

Selene escapes imprisonment to find herself in a world where humans have discovered the existence of both the 'Vampire' and 'Lycan' clans, and are conducting an all-out war to eradicate both nocturnal species.

"'Underworld' is one of Screen Gems' most important franchises," said Rory Bruer, president of Worldwide Distribution for Sony Pictures Releasing.

Anchor Bay Entertainment will exclusively release the Hallmark Network's 2001 Canadian-produced "Sherlock Holmes Collection", starring Matthew Frewer ("Watchmen") and Kenneth Walsh, on DVD, November 29, 2011.
