"Amazon Falls" - March 18, 2011

Director Katrin Bowen reports that her first feature, "Amazon Falls" will screen at the Magic Carlton Cinema 9, Toronto, Ontario, the week of March 18, 2011. The film will subsequently screen at select cities across Canada ending in Vancouver at the Denman Cinemas for the week of April 15, 2011.

"Amazon Falls" premiering @ the 2010 Toronto International Film Festival, September 2010, stars April Telek ("Flight 93"), Anna Mae Routledge ("Harpers Island"), Zak Santiago ("Young Blades"), Ben Ratner ("Fathers and Sons"), William B. Davis ("The X-Files") and Tom Braidwood ("The X-Files").

Co-produced by Darren Reiter, the film is loosely based on Bowen's experiences as an 18-year-old B-movie performer living in Los Angeles.

Bibb Believes In "Good Christian Bitches"

Actress Leslie Bibb ("Iron Man 2") has been cast in the upcoming ABC TV pilot "Good Christian Bitches", based on the novel of the same title by author Kim Gatlin.

"...'Good Christian Bitches' is the lighthearted tale of 'Amanda Vaughn', a recently divorced mother of two. To get a fresh start, she moves back to the affluent Dallas neighborhood where she grew up. But her old friends are already out to destroy her reputation. In the whirling midst of salacious gossip and fraud, Amanda turns to those who love her and the faith she's always known. Will the 'Good Christian Bitches' get the best of her, or will everyone see that they are as counterfeit as their travel jewelry...?"

Rachelle Lefevre Is A Part Of The "Reconstruction"

Canadian actress Rachelle Lefevre ("Twilight") has been cast as the female lead in the upcoming NBC TV dramatic pilot "Reconstruction" (aka "the Crossing"), set in a small Missouri town after the US Civil War.

Premise follows 'Jason', a former soldier who settles into town and falls for 'Anna' (Lefevre), a war widow who lives with her 5-year old daughter.

Goodwin Bewitched By "Once Upon A Time"

Actress Ginnifer Goodwin ("Big Love") has been cast in the dual role of 'Snow White/Sister Mary Margaret Blanchard' in the ABC television network's upcoming 'fantasy' pilot "Once Upon A Time".

The pilot is from executive producers Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz ("Lost") following a woman with a troubled past who is drawn to a small town in Maine, where she discovers that the magic and mystery of 'fairy tales' may be real.

The Snow White/Sister Mary Margaret character has been placed under a wicked spell by the 'Evil Queen' (Lana Parrilla), in addition to being brought back to life by 'Prince Charming'.

Liz Hurley In Palicki's "Wonder Woman"



Actress Elizabeth Hurley ("Austin Powers") has been cast as a guest-starring villain in producer/writer David E. Kelley's upcoming TV reboot pilot of DC Comics "Wonder Woman".


"Thrilled to be doing the NBC pilot 'Wonder Woman'',
said Hurley on her Twitter feed. "I’ll be playing the evil villain. Can't wait."


In the pilot, Hurley’s character 'Veronica Cale' runs a pharmaceutical company, developing a drug to make people 'stronger'. When she plans an army of super-strong thugs, 'Wonder Woman' gets involved.

Diane Lane is The Mother Of "Superman: Man Of Steel"

Actress Diane Lane ("Secretariat") will play 'Martha Kent', the adoptive mother of the alien 'Kal-El', in director Zack Snyder's upcoming "Superman: Man Of Steel" feature now prepping to start in Vancouver.

"This was a very important piece of casting for me because 'Martha Kent' is the woman whose values helped shape the man we know as 'Superman'," said Snyder.

"We are thrilled to have Diane in the role because she can convey the wisdom and the wonder of a woman whose son has powers beyond her imagination."

To be produced by Christopher Nolan ("Batman Begins") and scripted by David S. Goyer ("Blade") , the new film is scheduled to be released December 2012.

"Batman Live" - World Arena Tour- Summer 2011

Warner Bros. Consumer Products (WBCP), DC Entertainment and Nick Grace of Water Lane Productions Ltd (WLP) report that "Batman Live", a new theatrical 'live' event, will focus on the story of 'Dick Grayson' (aka 'Robin'), a circus performer who loses his parents to crime.

"...Faithfully adapted from the DC Comics characters and stories, 'Batman Live' focuses on Robin’s quest for justice, which leads him to follow in the footsteps of his hero, the mysterious vigilante known as the 'Batman' – much to the dismay of his protective guardian, millionaire 'Bruce Wayne' – who secretly happens to be Batman.

The show will feature acrobatics, stunts and 'illusions', as written by Allan Heinberg ("Sex And The City"), from an original story by Emmy winner Stan Berkowitz, Emmy winner Alan Burnett and Heinberg.

"The passion the creative team behind 'Batman Live' shares for the character can be seen throughout every aspect of this production," said Geoff Johns, Chief Creative Officer, DC Entertainment.

Renault "Va Va Voom"

French car maker Renault has made available a video clip, promoting its "Clio" model, in a new campaign titled "Va Va Voom".

The ad features clips from the classic features "Breakfast At Tiffany’s" with Audrey Hepburn, Marlon Brando from "On the Waterfront", David Bowie's song "Ground Control", Dita Von Teese stripping and Rihanna performing her new single, "S&M".
