According to reports, a poorly-timed stunt on the set of "Expendables 2" back-fired, killing one stuntman and severely injuring another.
"It is with great regret that we confirm this unfortunate accident," said a spokesperson for Millennium. "Our hearts go out to the families and those on the production affected by this tragedy. The filmmakers are working closely with the authorities in responding to and investigating this accident."
"Expendables 2" was filming a scene at the Ognyanovo water reservoir in Southwestern Bulgaria when the accident occurred October 27, with the two stuntmen in a rubber boat in the water, when a planned bomb explosion "went off unplanned". One of the stuntmen was killed instantly, the other with serious injuries, taken to a hospital in the Bulgarian capital of Sofia.
