"Archer": The Spy Who Loved Himself

Debuting in 2009, "Archer" is the animated 'raunchy spy spoof' TV series created by Adam Reed for the FX network :

"...set at the 'International Secret Intelligence Service' (ISIS) in New York City, suave but incredibly self-centered master spy 'Sterling Archer' (H. Jon Benjamin) deals with global espionage, his domineering, middle-aged mother/boss, 'Malory Archer' (Jessica Walter), ex-girlfriend 'Lana Kane' (Aisha Tyler) and her ISIS accountant boyfriend 'Cyril Figgis' (Chris Parnell) ..."

Characters in the series wear 1960's clothing and hair styles with several episodes referencing the Soviet Union as a current nation.

In 2010, actor H. Jon Benjamin as 'Archer' was nominated for a Primetime Emmy for outstanding voiceover performance.

FX has ordered a 16-episode third season of "Archer", with three episodes to air September 2011 and the remainder, January 2012.
