Nova Scotia Opens Up A "Bag Of Bones"

According to reports, A&E Network has greenlit author Stephen King’s "Bag of Bones", for a Sony Pictures Television, two-part, 4-hour mini-series starring actors Pierce Brosnan, Annabeth Gish and Kelly Rowland.

The mini-series will start shooting August 2011 in Nova Scotia for director Mick Garris, from a script by Matt Venne, adapting King's fantasy best-seller "Bag Of Bones" :

"...forty-year-old bestselling novelist 'Mike Noonan', is unable to stop grieving, four years after the sudden death of his wife, 'Jo'. When his nights are plagued by vivid nightmares of a house by the lake, Mike returns to 'Sara Laughs' and the Noonans' isolated summer home. There he discovers the town is controlled by powerful millionaire, 'Max Devore', who twists the very fabric of the community to his purpose: to take his three-year-old granddaughter away from her widowed young mother.

"As Mike is drawn into their struggle, he is also drawn into the mystery of Sara Laughs, now the site of ghostly visitations, ever-escalating nightmares and the sudden recovery of his writing ability..."

"Bag of Bones" will be executive produced by Mark Sennett for Mark Sennet Entertainment and director Garris for Nice Guy Prods.
