"Tintin" Sequel Will Be "Prisoners Of The Sun"

According to reports, the sequel to director Steven Spielberg's "The Adventures Of Tintin: Secret Of The Unicorn", the upcoming $135 million motion capture 3D feature, based on "The Adventures of Tintin" comic books created by Belgian artist Georges 'Hergé' Remi, will be Hergé's "Prisoners Of The Sun".

"Secret Of The Unicorn" is produced by Spielberg, Peter Jackson, and Kathleen Kennedy, from a screenplay by Steven Moffat, Edgar Wright and Joe Cornish, based on Hergé's "The Crab with the Golden Claws", "The Secret of the Unicorn" and "Red Rackham's Treasure".

"Unicorn" producer Jackson, whose company Weta Digital is providing the film's computer animation, intends to direct "Prisoners Of The Sun".

From The Kennedy/Marshall Company, WingNut Films, Amblin Entertainment and DreamWorks Pictures, "The Adventures Of Tintin: Secret Of The Unicorn" will be distributed by Paramount in North America, December 23, 2011.
