Actor Don Johnson ("Miami Vice") has been cast as the lead in NBC’s upcoming drama pilot "A Mann’s World", following a straight Beverly Hills hairdresser/salon owner, similar to actor Warren Beatty’s womanizing character 'George Roundy' in director Hal Ashby's 1975 feature "Shampoo" (which in turn was based on real-life hairdresser, film producer Jon Peters.)
"...Exploring men’s struggles with aging, the salon owner expands his business while juggling three families..."
Johnson is noted for his roles as 'Detective Sonny Crockett' on the 5-season, 1984 NBC TV series "Miami Vice" and his 5-year run as 'Inspector Nash Bridges' in Rysher Entertainment's 1996 series "Nash Bridges"..
