Harry Elfont and Deborah Kaplan ("Josie And The Pussycats") will adapt and direct author John Gray's 1992 best-seller "Men Are From Mars, Women Are From Venus" as a romantic comedy feature for Summit Entertainment. BermanBraun's Lloyd Braun and Gail Berman will produce.
Gray's book, described by the author as "...a practical guide for improving communication and getting what you want in your relationship", has sold over 50 million copies in 45 countries, based on the idea that members of the two genders have diametrically different communication styles, emotional needs and personal values to each other.
In contrast to some psychologists and feminists who emphasize similarities between the sexes, Gray writes almost exclusively about differences.
